AGE-FRIENDLY MUNICIPALITY – Wednesday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Memramcook Golden Age Club (Berceau). A morning of activities and presentations.

9 a.m. – Presentation on wills and powers of attorney with Lawyer. Marie-Josée LeBlanc

10 a.m. – Break / snack

10:15 a.m. – Information on the Municipality and on the Age-Friendly Municipality approach

10:30 a.m. – Active session – Joanne Richard (Ageless Grace)

11 a.m. – Presentation (in English) Aging in Place avec Pam Van Egmond. The session will begin with a short description of Nursing Home Without Walls, a pilot project to assist people in rural areas to stay in their homes if that is their wish. Information is provided to assist those 60 plus to link them to Supports Services through Social Development (exp. Support worker, housekeeping, equipment, transportation, etc.), links to services such as transportation, frozen meals, footcare, minor repair help, etc. This will be followed by group activities highlighting how best to plan for the future. What challenges do many seniors face? How best to plan for the future you want? What supports and services are available?

Abbey-Landry School

The club is open to all and registration fees are only $10 a year.

Come learn to run! Free sessions will take place on Wednesdays (from February 19 to April 29) at 6:45 p.m. in front of the Abbey-Landry School - just before the event 5/10 K Coeurs Chauds Warm Hearts Run Walk Course Marche which will take place on Saturday, May 2.

The insctructor, Kristine will determine the route based on numbers and abilities.
